Plastics – Too valuable to throw away

Plastics and plastic packaging are an important part of our life. Plastics are based on fossil raw materials and are produced in complex chemical processes. Fossil raw materials are not renewable and therefore a limited source. Recycling plastic waste is imperative and plays an important role in preserving resources. Once they are sorted according to type, the various plastic types can be recycled and turned into new products.

DELA GmbH stands for progressive sorting techniques and processes up to 50,000 tonnes of mixed plastic waste every year. Our sorting system generates pure and colour-separated fractions for the subsequent recycling process.

Output fractions from the plastic processing phase:

Taking full advantage of the recycling potential

DELA GmbH's plastic sorting system at the site in Beckum is state of the art. Optimum use is made of the high recycling potential of the plastic waste. Around 10 tonnes of mixed plastic waste are sorted in this plant every hour. DELA GmbH processes plastics from the German take-back system (Duales System Deutschland) and also other post-consumer waste from both home and abroad.

HighTech sorting

High resolution and multifunction near infra-red modules (RGB+NIR) allow secure and fast visual detection of the input material. The effective separation according to plastic type and colour creates pure and colour-sorted plastic fractions that we supply to our customers as baled goods or offer for sale.
