The innovative and proven technologies applied by the company DELA GmbH are perfectly suitable for treating liquid or pasty waste from industrial production or cleaning processes. A high level operating security and almost emission-free processes are the benefits of the vacuum technologies used.
In the first step, the industrial sludges or filter cakes containing mercury are dried in a vacuum dry mixer to reduce the water content. After the drying process, the waste is further treated in the rotary distillation. The plant can treat up to 3500 tonnes of waste per year.
Before they are treated by the company DELA mercury containing sludges are generated as waste or secondary products:
- in the chemical industry, e.g. in chloralkali electrolyses
- during the transportation and cleaning of natural gas (e.g. filter cakes)
- when recycling fluorescent tubes and lamps containing mercury
